If you have any questions that aren’t listed below, always feel free to reach out to us and we’ll answer you as soon as we can.
How much does it cost to open an HQ fit studio?
This is of course heavily dependent on the unit that you’re looking to occupy, as this will determine your rent deposit, build out, etc. The base cost for opening up an HQ Fit Studio is as follows,
- Franchise Fee: $30,000
- Equipment: $50,000 – $80,000
- Supplement Inventory: $10,000 – $20,000
We recommend that anyone looking to open up an HQ Fit Studio have access to at least $150,000 – $200,000 in capital or financing.
How Long Does an HQ Fit Studio take to open?
We recommend that our franchisees give themselves a 2 – 3 month timeline from taking over a unit to actually being open. All of the equipment that we use in HQ Fit Studios are manufactured here in Canada, and so there is often an 8 – 10 week timeframe in getting it all built and delivered. This provides ample time to get the unit build outs completed, and then the equipment delivery is the final step before opening.
What Equipment is Needed?
We’ve already negotiated a deal with the equipment manufacturer PowerBody to provide all of our locations with high quality, Canadian made equipment. We chose this brand for several reasons – all of their equipment is manufactured in Canada, and is high quality, commercial grade. They have a smaller footprint than other gym equipment manufacturers, this means that we can fit more equipment into a smaller space. They also provide our franchisees with equipment at wholesale price, so this right away means that our locations can save a large sum of money on their opening costs compared to if they were to open up independently.
How large of a space is needed?
The beauty of an HQ Fit Studio is that it can be scaled to fit any space. We recommend having at least 1,200 square feet, which would accommodate a smaller supplement retail section and a gym section where 2 trainers could operate simultaneously. If you wanted to have at least 3 – 4 trainers working together, we would recommend a space around 2,000 square feet or bigger.
What resources are provided to new locations?
As a franchise, we want to make sure that all of our new locations are setup for success. That’s why we provide marketing graphics, giveaway material, and an opening business strategy to all of our locations. In addition to that, included with your franchise fee is a lead generation website that you can direct search and social media adds to.
